Faithless - BOMBS

BOMBS by Faithless, is an excellent music video, contrasting our comfortable everyday existence with the reality of the wars being fought around the world. That contrast and the controversial imagery included was enough to get it banned from MTV.

And anything banned from MTV must be controversial. Right? Check it out for yourself to see what all the fuss is about.

Also for those inclined to enjoy the display of gratuitous tits and ass in their music videos, I'm sorry to inform you that this is not that type of video.

pt - it's interesting to me that you would post a music video that has so clearly taken a page out of michael moore's book. if anything the mid-term elections in the states signaled that lieberman will always be more popular than dean.

in any case, mtv was wrong to take this off the air. shame on them.

I like Michael Moore, and not only for the shock value of his work.

I hadn't looked at this video in the context of the recent American elections. I dislike Lieberman for reasons other than his hawkishness.

What can not be ignored though is that are comfortable existence depends on the horrors and madness of war. (Note: It's not my belief that all wars are unnecessary or not needed)

I find it interesting that people, including myself, can carry on their daily routine, without as much as blinking an eye to all the bloodshed happening.

Wow, PF. And to think that I get teary eyed when I listen to NPR in the morning, interviewing soldiers leaving to Iraq and their families... man oh man oh man....

JJ -- If only everyone could have the concern you do we would be living in a better world.

I am curious though, how much does the the fact that countless innocent Iraqi and Afghani citizen are killed each day affect your daily life?

I carry mine on like any other. A heart of coal I must have.

I should clarify that I do have brief moments of introspection on the situations, but not enough to change how I live or enjoy my life.
